Challenge
Autocab are the leading tech provider in the taxi/ transport world. Autocab wanted to reach out to existing and new clients in a fun and innovative way to drive awareness. Square Fish Events delivered a festival style event which incorporated the business objectives while creating a fun and engaging daytime event – not your average tech conference.
We designed the concept and created the festival from scratch, building a structure fitted out with production, staging and screens – this would be the focal presentation hub and included a tech bar and an exhibition. The outside area was home to the food stalls, games, and various garden bars.
The event provided everything needed to deliver conference style business event, with a fun festival vibe!
We provided full event management of the entire project from concept design, marquee build, generator and cabling, branding, catering, and entertainment
02Delivery
The event kicked off with welcome goodie bags on arrival and a chance to mingle and network around the tech bar and exhibition. The stage was set and ready to welcome key speakers from a range of partners including Uber. Entertainment really ramped up with live performances by the insanely talented Twisted Tubes. The food was flowing, and everyone enjoyed plenty of delicious street food such as paella, wood fire pizzas, kebabs, and cheesecakes.
In true British style, the heavens opened, however it didn’t stop the penalty shoot-out and basketball tournaments taking place – so much fun!!

We had a lot of last-minute changes and amends which they handled so well – they worked efficiently and calmly to resolve any problem that was thrown at us! We had an outdoor event planned that hinged on the British weather (which didn’t hold out for us), but the team put together a weather contingency plan that they made sure didn’t affect the theme/vibe of the day.
They had such a positive energy throughout the whole process that there was no fear to organising this large-scale industry event for Autocab – everything was a breeze.
