After the success of the 2023 event, we were excited to return as the trusted event partner for the 2024 Manchester PA Awards. Our mission was clear: take the awards dinner to new heights, creating a more spectacular and elegant celebration that outshone the previous year. With a high bar set, we knew this would be a challenging but exciting challenge.
As with every project, we kicked things off with a creative brainstorming session, focusing on how we could elevate the event and make it feel truly special. The primary focus was on the event’s look, feel, and entertainment. We wanted this to be a night where guests could get glammed up, enjoy an elegant setting, and experience a fun, high-energy atmosphere. Unlike typical awards ceremonies that build energy towards the end, we wanted the celebration to start immediately, with guests feeling engaged and involved from the very first moment.
Once we had the entertainment sorted, we moved on to styling and theming. Our goal was to capture the elegance of the Grammys, with a televised-quality atmosphere that made everyone feel like a star. Working with the best suppliers, we designed bespoke grand installations and stunning centrepieces that exuded luxury.
Together with our production partner, we crafted a show-stopping stage design. The set was sleek and high gloss, featuring a giant LED backdrop to create a dynamic digital set. Additionally, we added a secondary stage for the DJ and performers, bringing the entertainment closer to the audience and creating a more immersive experience.
With over 550 guests attending, meticulous attendee management was key. We worked closely with the venue to map out every detail—from the event build to the guest journey to de-rigging—all while ensuring a smooth, seamless event.
Once all the pieces were in place, we finalized the master event plan and conducted thorough risk assessments, ensuring we were ready to deliver an exceptional evening.
02Delivery
The evening began with a grand entrance: guests walked the “Purple Carpet” while a live harp player set the tone for the night. Inside, a champagne reception awaited, and guests had plenty of opportunities to engage with photo moments, soaking in the elegance of the venue. As everyone found their seats, the grand reveal of the main space took place, and the anticipation for the night ahead built.
To kick off the celebration, an 8-piece gospel choir performed, setting the mood for the evening. The fabulous Jordan North took the stage as host, energizing the crowd and keeping the momentum going. The show was packed with show-stopping performances throughout dinner, including surprise dash cam moments where Jordan engaged directly with the audience. As the awards began, the atmosphere became electric, with guests cheering on the nominees and winners.
Later in the evening, the gospel choir returned for more live performances, and the energy ramped up with a new live music concept that fused a live DJ set with a band and live vocals. This innovative twist kept the excitement flowing, and the dance floor quickly filled with guests ready to party.
The evening wrapped up on a high note, with the celebration continuing late into the night. What a night, what a celebration—an unforgettable experience for all.
Conclusion
The feedback we received was overwhelmingly positive, but the most heartwarming comments came from the nominees and winners. They expressed how special the evening made them feel from the moment they arrived—like it was truly their night. This was the ultimate success for us—mission accomplished!
